Casa Azul
As I approach the beginnings of a new cycle, I pause to reflect on the way things have unfolded in the last decade. Many of the thoughts have stemmed from this idea that, self-love and self-care have become a priority and a necessity.
In the last three and a half years after letting go of several toxic relationships, I feel grateful to be welcomed by friends and embraced by the community here. Even more so, I feel touched by the friendships I’ve been able to keep across states, and have a better idea of what kind of community I wish to associate myself with. Grateful for the practices that have been passed to me…which challenges me to step more fully into myself and embrace the magic of the unknown.
This New Year was spent in La Misión, Baja California at Casa Azul, for what ended up turning into a mini retreat. It means Blue House.
Upon entry, I was greeted by Lulu the dog. I was also told that she responds to the name “Princess.”
